Our research contribution at home and abroad

ISI Food Protection frequently partners with universities, research institutes and other companies in national and international research and development projects. Here are some examples from the past few years:.


  • SEAPRO: Novel high-value ingredient based on fermented seaweed disrupting the food and nutraceutical markets. Funded by the Eurostars programme, 2021-2024.









  • Wooden breast in broilers. Funded by the national Poulty Production Levy Fund, 2015.



  • FishFermPlus (project leader): Added-value bioprocessing for Fish raw materials via low-cost Fermentation technologies delivering a PLUS in the sustainable production, consumer safety and quality of highly sensitive fish products. Funded by the EU programme FP7-SME, 2012-2015.
